BYD petrol engines power the small hatchbacks and family sedans that make up most of the brand's cars on the road, and a rod is usually replaced with the engine still in the car, so the number that the parts book and the old rod share matters more than any description. This category stops at two applications: the 371QA 1.0L unit in the F0, and the 473QB and 473QE 1.5L four-cylinder engines fitted to the F3, G3 and L3.

The 371QA rod is ordered as 371QA-1004020, and 371QA-100402 is among the numbers buyers also type in when they are checking a listing. For the 1.5L cars the rod carries BYD473QB-1004030; 473QB and 473QE are used side by side here because both take the same four-cylinder rod. Each listing states the rod count for a complete engine, so you can order one rod for a repair or a full set for a rebuild without working it out yourself.

These are factory-direct aftermarket rods, forged from alloy steel and finish machined, with dimensions verified batch by batch. Small quantities are welcome and there is no fixed minimum on stock items, which leave in about a week.
